You do make a good point that you CAN do a lot more in GTA than in Mafia II but does a longer game and more freedom mean a better game? And in this case is dosen't, a major downside that Mafia II has to GTA is it's short story but in the end I didn't mind it. While on the other hand with GTA it has a nice story and all, but it's not such a story driven game you can just stop in the middle of a mission and just simply forget about it it doesn't have nearly a deep story/plot as Mafia II has.Īs for gameplay Mafia II comes out on top also in GTA woohoo sit behind cover, shoot enemies, woohoo but after a while it gets boring, especially considering that many places in GTA look the same (like in GTA 4, litterally the whole entire city looks exactly the same) while in Mafia II, every gunfight is in a new location, with new enemies, with new characters each time simply just isn't the same.
